The 3rd Army of the Sereskalens C Company, often referred to internally as [Lt. Col] Kasse Soren's Saints or simply Soren's Saints are a specialized, high-risk unit created in 1897 to assist in the defense of Adraus.
The unit answers directly to Kasse Soren's field command, but are led by Captain Isley Frey. The unit is known for defying conventional tactics and are used in rupturing front lines, mountain warfare, siege warfare, and anti-dragon combat. Furthermore, they also utilize a large number of pact-maker soldiers, soldiers who utilize Dium in their attacks.
Composition
Manpower
The unit size is notably less than a standard company, made up of only 110-150 soldiers and are led by Captain Isley Frey as if 1898.
Equipment
The standard gear of Soren's Saints is mainly comprised of the standard Rathen-Pattern M.84/92, a rugged yet accurate rifle that is modified into a carbine-type gun. Type A Bayonet, Saw pattern which is used for both stabbing enemies and cutting wood and melee fighting. They are also given the Field Club and Hatchets. Sidearms are also provided.
As for armor, they wear the standard Royal Adrausii Army field black uniform, but some are also equipped with the latest ceramail, a ceramic-filled chest plate that is light enough for the mountains and defends vitals from dragons breath and has been known to save persons from lethal dragon bites.
Vehicles
Though mostly a light infantry unit, the Saints utilize a few specialized vehicles and transport means adapted for the mountainous terrain:
Mountain Wagons:
Small, rugged horse-drawn carts designed to carry ammunition, rations, and light artillery components over rocky paths.
Pack Horses and Mules:
The primary logistical backbone, transporting supplies, explosives, and field telegraph equipment.
Mountain Artillery (Attached):
Occasionally supported by 1-2 mountain artillery batteries (light, portable cannons and mortars) that can be disassembled and carried by pack animals.

Tactics
Mountain Warfare Focus:
Operating in the rugged Sereskalen foothills, the Saints rely on stealth, mobility, and intimate knowledge of terrain. Their tactics include:
Ambush and hit and run raids on supplies and artillery emplacements.
Sabotage of enemy infrastructure, like bridges and telegraph lines
Reconnaissance patrols to identify enemy troop movements and artillery positions
Use of deception and misinformation, including false camps and smoke screens
