Sylvan

Sylvan is the primary language of the Feywild. It is often seen as the language of nature and emotion.   The language itself is fairly old, and has changed very little throughout the ages. It flows easily, a melodic tongue, similarly to Elvish; in fact many linguists believe that the Sylvan language is derived from Elvish, while others argue it’s the other way around.   Although Sylvan uses the Elvish script, the language is hardly ever written, with most Fey scripture written in Elvish instead.   Sylvan is rarely heard outside of the Feywild, with many Fey also speaking Elvish and sometimes Common. Though there are a few Fey communities that exclusively speak Sylvan.   The Fey are known to take advantage of their unique language when insulting or tricking their prey.
