Goblin

Goblin is the primary language of Goblinoids, known as ‘Ghukliak’ in the Goblin tongue. It is a guttural language with some distant similarities to Sylvan.   Goblin has a pretty negative reputation, with it being seen as a dirty and simple language for the uncivilised. This has led to the language falling out of use within larger settlments, with some ashamed to speak it in public. Though there has been a growing movement within the Kingdom of Lorth’elon to revitalise the language and have it officially recognised by the government. Goblin has two distinct dialects: The first is primarily spoken by Goblins and is filled with grunting and whimpering noises. The second is primarily spoken by the Hobgoblins and is more developed, drawing on some of the Elvish flowery language, and is often used to tell epic tales and war poetry, some of which are written down for future generations.   Goblin is most often spoken among Goblinoid families and nomadic tribes, with many such tribes exclusively speaking Goblin.
