Planosophy

The field of planosophy, put briefly to avoid the labyrinthine depths of many hundreds of texts and manuscripts on the subject, is the sub-field of astrology devoted to understanding the enigmatic relationship between other dimensions, such as The Hells, The Otherworld, The Arcane, and our wide and 'wonderful' world of The Folklands. Planosophers seek to unravel the mysteries of why magick screams through the stars from the Arcane into all these places, yet why these realms remain fundamentally isolated from one another, each with its own distinct rules of physics, time, and natural phenomena. Dwelling the Folklands on our planet of Gaiatia, water fills the oceans and sustains life across its varied biomes, while in the Otherworld, incomprehensibly long rope bridges stretch across floating islands, their surfaces covered in vividly colorful plants and pink grass beneath a mossy sky streaked with golden clouds. The Hells, in contrast, offer a landscape where glowing rivers of molten rock carve through jagged terrain, casting their infernal glow across sprawling forests of blackened trees. Planosophy is not merely an academic pursuit; Its findings have practical and existential significance. One of the central tenets of the field is the belief that magickal energies from the Arcane create "thin veils" between planes, sensitive locations where the boundaries between realms blur and overlap. These planar overlaps can result in both marvels and tragedies.
