Cerberus, Mayhem, Mishap, Mischief and Doom

Cerberus, Mayhem, Mishap, Mischief and Doom are all litter mates.

All five hounds of the litter have similar appearance - imposing size; powerful, muscular build; vicious , intense, focused eyes; and a perpetual scowl. They have larger heads in proportion to their body size, and larger canine teeth than most hounds.

DESCRIPTIONS

Cerberus = three heads - completely black fur - female - largest when born, and remained the largest - looks most like Kerberos - has a serpent's tail, mane of snakes, and a lion's claws - took over from father, as Mask's guard of The Shadowfell Realm gate
Mayhem = four heads - dark grey, black and tan fur - has mane of snakes and a lion's claws - male - can phase into certain planes and realms - guards Limbo archway
Mishap = 2 heads - Black and tan fur - Has mane of snakes - male - can phase into and out of the various levels of The Hells - guards The Hells
Mischief = one head - tan and dark grey with black stripe down back - has lion's claws - female - serpent like tail - guards the gate into Ru'Mal
Doom = two heads - the grunt of the litter, although grew to be the second largest of the five - dark grey shimmer with black patches - has a serpent's tail and a lion's claws - can phase to most planes and realms - purr sounds like a weird countdown - favourite food is Jungle Fish, which he found out when swam through the River Styx when visited The Hells - guards the bottom of The Gahara into Ru'Than

FATHER

Kerberos - black fur except around muzzle where it is fiery tan in colouring - three headed hound who guards for Mask the gates of The Shadowfell. Has a serpent's tail, mane of snakes, and a lion's claws. Known for being fierce, and bad tempered. Kerberos prevents the dead from escaping and living people from entering.

MOTHER

Desirosa - phase hound (similar ability to a Blink Dog) from The Hells - very dark grey fur, with a shimmer to it - a demon hound that when appears transparent she becomes untargetable - can phase in and out of visibility - able to phase in and out of certain planes of exsistance - a talent it uses to aid its attacks and to avoid harm.

Kerberos had taken many a hound as a mate. Each one he chose, did spire a litter, only to die painfully during the pregnancy. Their smaller bodies unable to carry any of his litter to full term. Kerberos tried various mates, of various hound breeds - from Hell Hounds to Yeth Hound - and all those in between.
In frustration, after the ninth mate died, Kerberos refused to stand guard for Mask at the gates of The Shadowfell, instead took to walking along the Styx River in The Hells - bound for nowhere and not looking for company.
Desirosa watched his massive form walk along the river bank, resting in the darkest shadows with her second litter who would soon be weaned. She disliked the danger he represented for her current litter.
On his next passing where Desirosa and her litter lay, she left her litter resting, choosing to walk along the same path as the massive three headed hound - yet, just slightly ahead of Kerberos. With his long strides, he soon was next to her. Desirosa glanced over at him, then continued walking at his pace, as if she did not care if he was there or not.
They walked and walked, until finally he returned to The Shadowfell. To Kerberos' annoyance, Desirosa phased into his kennel. In anger Kerberos went to attack her, but she was quickly gone.
Each hour at a random moment, Desirosa phased into his kennel. Sometimes Kerberos attacked her. Sometimes he ignored her. Other times he felt playful, and the played as if litter mates.
It took only a week, before Kerberos was convinced by Desirosa to mate with her. Kerberos lead Desirosa into a special kennel that Mask had got built when in the past Kerberos mated with a younger Phase Hound. He was not gentle - nor had he ever been able to be with his size. Nor was the seemingly fearless Desirosa.
Desirosa was not allowed to leave the specialized kennel. There is where she remained, until the litter was born and then weaned - guarded viciously by Kerberos.
The litter were like large ugly rats, with dark shimmering fur, eyes like blackholes and the smell of burning flesh. Mask refused to touch any of them.
When they were only six days old, Kerberos took each one out of that specialized kennel to found out their abilities. Leaving the others with a fretful Desirosa. Kerberos was proud of each of them, in a way - although quick to anger with their high jinx and excessive energy.
The first born was Mayhem, with four hungry mouths attached to four large heads. Then only ten minutes later came out Cerberus, so named because she looked the most like Kerberos. A long forty minutes later, for tired Desirosa lay panting when Mishap and Mischief tumbled out in quick succession.
The smallest and last born was given the name Doom - not because Kerberos though the grunt to be doomed or cursed, but because Kerberos predicted, on seeing the abilities Doom had, what harvoc that Doom could like cause.
Desirosa stayed with the litter as long as Kerberos forced her too. One morning he was gone. Desirosa licked each of the hounds of the litter, then just left. Four of the litter were gifted by Mask to various tenuous allies.
