Jungle Fish
* Giant Croc + Dire Anglefish
* similar to Piranha mixed with a mudskippers - carnivores
*on land and water - ugly and grotesque
* not really a fish - but a Salamander.
* their "walking" is more like jerky movements - supporting it's body on the extended edges of it's gill plates and pushing itself by it's fins and tail.
These are aggressive flesh-eaters - although prefer to get the living or recently decreased, than the Undead - capable of dilacerating a medium-sized humanoid body within an hour.
These walking fish are able to travel over land for days. However, are not incline to stay far from a water source, unless food is extremely scarce.
Jungle Fish are extremely larger cousins of the mudskippers, who tend to be at the most 30 cm (12 inches) long, while Jungle Fish grow to an excess of 10 mitres (32 feet). They tend to be a brownish green colour that ranges anywhere from dark to light, often with sets of crimson stripes on each of their flippers. Their eyes protrude from the top of a flat head. Another notable feature is that their side pectoral fins are located more forward and underneath their elongated bodies. These fins are jointed and function similarly to limbs, which allow these creatures to crawl from place to place - the most well-known land-adapted fish. Any Jungle Fish is able to spend days moving about out of water and can even climb mangroves, although to only modest heights.
They can leap distances of up to their own length, which for the larger Jungle Fish is 10 mitres (32 feet). They do this by laterally flexing and pushing with their tails
Found in lakes, swamps and marshes throughout Esau. There are also a number in the waters of the River Styx in The Hells. Through peoples terrifying experiences in the waking hours, Jungle Fish do appear in the Nightmare region of The Dream Realm.

As they can also breath on land they are able to attack creatures on the banks - up to the size of deer and smaller wild cat breeds, such as Lynx.
On occasion, they do attack humanoids - although more incline to go for injured people or recently deceased.

The larger breeds of Jungle Fish can grow very large.
Most Jungle Fish range in size from about 30 to 32 inches long. Weight typically ranges from 10 to 20 kg (22 to 44 pounds).
Larger Jungle Fish are found in the depths of larger lakes of Esau. While those that swim within the RIver Styx in The Hells tend to be slightly smaller with 'dots' of luminescent on the female fish.
