Lunarel
Lunarel, The Eternal Moon
"I am the silver light in the dark, the whisper between the stars, the dream that lingers when the dawn arrives. Those who seek shall find, and those who question shall learn."
Overview
Lunarel is the divine embodiment of the Moon, dreams, mysteries, and balance, worshipped by the Lunar Covenant and those who reject the Empire’s rigid rule. While Solenara is the light that commands, Lunarel is the glow that guides, the veil that conceals and reveals in equal measure.
They are feminine-presenting but non-binary, embodying the fluidity of identity, time, and fate itself. To their followers, they are the guardian of the Veil, the bridge between the known and the unknown, the unseen hand that shapes destiny without force.
To the Holy Solarian Empire, Lunarel is a dangerous deceiver, a false light meant to lead the faithful astray. The Church of the Radiant Flame teaches that Lunarel was once Solenara’s servant but turned against the Sun out of envy. They claim Lunarel’s magic is untrustworthy, chaotic, and a threat to the order of the world.
But to the Lunar Covenant, Lunarel is not the enemy of the Sun—only the balance that was lost.

Gender Identity
Because Lunarel is feminine-presenting but non-binary, different groups perceive them differently, and myths often contradict each other:
- To the Lunar Covenant, Lunarel is the Veiled Guide, neither fully one thing nor the other, embodying the mysteries of the cosmos.
- To the Empire, Lunarel is the False Light, a being that mimics femininity to deceive, yet refuses to conform to Solenara’s divine structure.
