The First Dawn
The Creation of Eryndral: The Solar Perspective
(As recorded in the Luminous Archive, the Holy Solarian Empire’s sacred scripture)
In the beginning, there was only the Void—an empty abyss of darkness, lifeless and cold. The universe was without order, without meaning, a shapeless chaos.
Then, Solenara, the Ever-Burning Light, arose from the darkness, her radiance piercing the abyss with the first dawn. With her divine hands, she forged the heavens, shaping the stars as beacons of order, setting them in their celestial paths. She kindled the Sun, the greatest of all lights, to banish the formless night and bring warmth to the newborn world.
Beneath her golden gaze, Eryndral was shaped from fire and faith, its mountains rising, its rivers flowing, its plains stretching toward the horizon. She breathed life into the world, creating the first humans from embers and stardust, granting them wisdom and strength, teaching them to walk in the light.
For a time, the world was perfect—bathed in Solenara’s radiance, free from doubt, filled with the unyielding purity of divine order.
But jealousy stirred in the shadows.
From the last remnants of the Void, a false goddess arose—Lunarel, the Pale Deceiver, the Moon’s imposter light. She cast herself in silver, weaving illusions to beguile and mislead. She whispered to the weak-hearted, promising them false wisdom and forbidden dreams. Where Solenara’s light brought truth, Lunarel’s shadow twisted reality.
Seeing that the world was perfect under the sun, Lunarel grew envious, for she had no light of her own. She stole a fragment of Solenara’s flame, cloaking it in darkness to create the Moon—a pale imitation, a thief’s lantern, a mockery of the true radiance. With it, she brought night upon Eryndral, blinding the faithful and allowing doubt to fester.
And thus, the First War of Heaven began.
Solenara’s champions of light, the Firstborn of the Sun, battled Lunarel’s children of shadow, the Pale Ones, across the heavens. The world trembled as divine fire clashed against silvered deceit. The Sun triumphed, and Lunarel was cast from the heavens, her influence shattered.
Yet she could not be destroyed entirely. Bound by divine law, Solenara was forced to allow Lunarel to linger in the night sky, trapped in her false light, forever retreating before the dawn.
And so it is ordained: The Sun must always rise, and the night must always fade.
Mankind, Solenara’s chosen, was given a sacred duty—to resist the whispering darkness, to purge heresy, and to uphold the Ever-Burning Light. Those who turn away from the Sun are lost, their souls wandering in the shadowed illusions of the Pale Deceiver.
But all darkness ends when the Sun rises. And so long as Solenara’s light burns, the heretics will be brought to justice, and the world will remain pure.

Cultural Reception
- To the Holy Solarian Empire, Solenara is the one true creator, and Lunarel is a deceiver and corruptor.
- The Inquisition justifies its purges and crusades by pointing to the Solar myth, believing that Lunarel’s deception must be eradicated.
- Scholars of the Radiant Assembly and the Circle of Shadows both seek lost texts and ancient artifacts, hoping to uncover what truly happened at the beginning of time—but some secrets may be too dangerous for either side to accept.
