Leviathan
Leviathans heavily resemble their servants, the Sea Serpents: their long, serpentine bodies, heavy jaws filled with dagger-like teeth, and wide sickly yellow eyes. The Leviathans have several differences to their forms: long stripes of gold crossing their dark-blue scales, a ghostly iridescent glow that seems to emanate from the eyes, and their titanic size. Whereas regular sea serpents can be as long as two hundred feet, Leviathans can measure over a thousand feet.
The Leviathans were created by the Prime Gods as the second inhabitants of the new world to act as the guardians and maintainers of the great bodies of water over the lowest parts of the land. The aquatic monsters were, at their creation, given Divine Sparks that granted them control over the oceans and seas of Elgis, including the aquatic wildlife. The sea serpents were created later, to act as the "hands" of the Leviathans, extending their influence far beyond what their sparks ever could.
Before The Andier, Leviathans were known to send devastating tidal waves, send swarms of sea serpents to harry coastal cities, and form toxic algal blooms to poison drinking waters. In the modern-day, they tend not to interfere with the surface world as much, or at least not to take credit for it. However, there are several accounts of Leviathans proposing "deals" to wayward sailors or desperate ships. One, a creature calling itself 'Dohlio Kako Krivei Metaxi O Yafalos' is known -in private circles- to have struck a deal with a band of pirates in the Exapo Ocean. The specifics of the deal are unknown, though it is clear the pirates received safe passage through the dangerous seas of Elgis and perilous pursuits for those who would chase them.
