Prime God

The Prime gods were animated objects created by the generation of the life Primordial, and given godhood from the Divine Sparks stolen from the Primordials.    They were things like rocks, boulders, and metal ores that had primitive and complex biological traits like eyes, mouths, feelers, and limbs, none of those necessarily having to obey logic, continuity, or physics.   They were created at the end of the Primal Age when the Primordial embodying life generated and brought them into existence. They slew the Primordials, stole their divine sparks, and buried their remains deep beneath the earth. They harnessed the concepts of the Primordials and their newly acquired godhood to begin experimenting with the world around them in the manner a child experiments with sticks, stones, and clay. With the millions of years they had to experiment during the Age of Apotheosis the world of Elgis took its shape.   In their experimentation, some of the Prime gods gave some of their godhood to their creations, creating the New gods.   It was discovered by the Prime gods that their mere presence caused their beloved creations to begin to unravel and decay, some aspect of the primal world nested within them trying to restore the world to disordered chaos. In response, the Prime gods isolated themselves to the most desolate corners of the world. But it was ultimately unnecessary, as they harnessed their divine sparks to Ascend soon after. They left their work in the care of the New gods.
