Sea Serpent

Sea serpents are a type of aquatic reptile located in the seas of Elgis.   Their bodies are serpentine, covered in blue and black scales, and lacking any sort of limb structure. Fins protrude from the jowls, head, and down the length of the spine. Their skulls are thickly muscled, supplying incredible bite strength to the serrated teeth. Terrifying golden eyes are set within the skull. From tail tip to nose tip, an adult Sea serpent measures two hundred feet.   Sea serpents are born live within the mouth of the The Vathys Sea , where the depths of the The Exapo Ocean  meet the shallow bed of the inland sea. The newborns migrate in the hundreds to the coastlines, where they hunt crabs and small fish in beds of seagrass. This stage lasts for the first two years, wherein the Sea serpents remain under three feet long.   After this, groups of five to ten juvenile Sea serpents come together and venture into the Vathys sea to hunt schools of large fish. This period lasts seven years, where they stay under ten feet.   The groups split up and begin to make excursions into the Exapo ocean to hunt, though they spend most of their time in the Vathys sea. This is the life stage that most bothers fishermen and sea-faring vessels as the Sea serpents are now large enough to feasibly capsize boats with their fifty-foot length. This stage lasts fifteen years.   The surviving individuals begin to outgrow their habitat and migrate to the Exapo ocean, where they disappear into the darkened depths and grow up to two hundred feet long.
