Sonance
Goddess of Song and Dance
I had a vision of the future! I must tell the others!
Origins
After Strection and Nave married, they created Sonance. Sonance went on to build Singing Glades with Beight's help and created the Gnomes. She had the fate of Astnyr at her fingertips as her vision came to light. Lunarius's chosen was coming, but Sonance never knew when.Singing Glades
Singing Glades was founded by Sonance. With the help of Beight, the group of villages became intermingled with the forest. It was hidden from nefarious forces, protecting the goddess and Forest Gnomes inside. Some Forest Gnomes traveled from city to city as Song and Sensual Bards, boosting morale wherever they went. Sonance stayed within Singing Glades unless she deemed it absolutely necessary to leave. She did so in her animal form, staying out of sight until she found who she needed. Some people were found to be annointed as Bards and trained in the Bard's Guild. Others were people who needed guidance during hard times. However, she did this less when Strection forbade her to leave Singing Glades.Nave's Gift
On Sonance's creation day, Nave gave her a gift. This gift was a mahognay wooden flute with decorative vines encircling the instrument. Sonance would play her flute daily, calling it the "Pantheon". Sometimes she would gain visions as she played, gaining the confidence of the other gods. Her visions shaped the future, with insight on what to do and what to expect.Sonance's Vision
One vision was different from the rest. Sonance's most recent vision was of a mad mage from another world entering Astnyr with Lunarius's aura around them. This aura shaped some kind of elven figure, but the gender was unknown. The mage was seen releasing Lunarius into the realm. However, as Lunarius began combining his power with the mage's, the vision stopped. Sonance told the other gods of this, asking for their advice. Knowler did not know what to do, and asked Justlight. Justlight shook his head, stating he was just as bewildered as the rest of them. Strection huffed and stated the obvious. Lunarius's chosen must be killed in order to save Astnyr and the people in the region. Beight wondered what that would bring, already having their hands tied with Morana's threat. Nave said Morana had not been seen since she invaded Magick Glades. Winter interrupted their thinking by giving their own wisdom. They proposed gaining an ally in Lunarius's chosen. This would help the gods finally handle Lunarius and Morana, given how much power this mage must have. Knowler saw this logic and agreed to it for the time being. He said how much he didn't wish to kill his son, but it must be done with the continued threat. It would be a mercy. However, they could not unseal the god of madness on their own with the potential of failing their mission. They need Lunarius's chosen. Strection became enraged by this decision, later banning Sonance from ever leaving Singing Glades again. He also forbade her from talking to her mother, Nave. Sonance defied this rule only once, to find her own chosen in a half-elf bard.Perks and Flaws
Her greatest achievements were song and dance. She created the Bard's Guild intending to make the mental health of Astnyr better than before. Even with these strengths, she was physically and magically weak compared to the other gods. This might be because of her young age, or because her magic involved trickery instead of brute force.Animal Form
Sonance traveled the region as a badger. She could hide from threats such as her father as she traveled. The sneaky badger only showed herself once after they discussed the vision, because she feared her father would punish her for disobeying him. Sonance's absence outside the Singing Glades made the people wonder about her wellbeing.
