Freeport

The oldest human city on Odus, the continent's dark skinned humans built the city some time after the fall of Ahket Aken. The inhabitants are excellent mariners, but lack the magical understanding of their neighbors in Erudin. Warrior, Templar (Thule, Quellious, Prexus), Cleric (Karana, Prexus, Thule, Bristlebane, Quellious, Anashti Sul), Berserker, Assassin, Swashbuckler, and Shaman trainers can be found here.   This city employs West African style adobe architecture.   Gawe Humans and halflings, Sul'Dal Elves, Larak Catfolk, Saltwhisker Ratonga, Anaz Mal gnolls, and Kunarkian Humans are found in the city, as are a few Eruds (mostly Thulite heretics who live in the necromantic Bone District).   Trade is the lifeblood of the city. Textiles and paper from the Kejeks of mount Klaw, locally mined salt, and treasures brought back from the Ruins of Ahket Aken by adventurers pass through the city's port where ships leave for Qeynos, Sagara, Keresal, and Caerthiel. As the only port that trades with Caerthiel, Freeport has a monopoly on the export of porcelain.   Freeport, true to its name, is a free port and all are welcome there regardless of race, species, religion or class unless they have damaged their faction with the city.   The city has several districts:   The Bone District: A temple of Thule is located here. Skeletons do the menial labor and work as shop assistants.   The Great Lodge: A municipal palace where the city's chiefs meet to discuss policy. The guild registrar and bank are found in this district.   The Little District: The neighborhood where most of the city's halflings live. The buildings are all halfling sized.   The Market District: A market square and numerous shops are located here.   The Port: The city's port. Beneath the docks, a warren burrowed into the rock is home to the Saltwhisker ratonga.   The Temple District: The city's pantheon is located here. The deity in the centerpoint rotates every month and various priests reside in the pantheon offering their services and training. A monastery of Quellious is located here and Templars of Quellious are available for training.
