Erudin
Erudin is an African-themed citadel of crystalline spires built above the quadrolith located on an island in the center of the Grand Plateau's Vasty Deep. The spires of the city are constructed atop a massive set of four arches that dwarf the quadrolith below them. To enter the city, one must possess the Key of Erudin, which will allow them to summon a beam of light which will lift them into the city above. The Erudites are very xenophobic, and no foreigners are allowed into the city unless they prove their worth by completing a challenging magical quest.
Erudin is famous for its intellectual culture and most residents are involved either in Eldritch or Religious research. There are several theatres where Rune Mages give lectures on eldritch lore and Priests of a variety of alignments argue about metaphysical matters (one particularly heated debate having led to the exile of the Thulites from the city). The city proper has Evoker, Conjurer, Illusionist, and Cleric (Anashti Sul, Tunare, Veeshan, Solusek Ro, and Quellious) trainers. Menial tasks are completed by constructs or animate objects (e.g. animated brooms sweep the halls).
The Laboratory of Elemental Mastery is the newbie area for the city and also provides elemental hunting for higher levels.
