Faydark Forest

Faydark Forest is a densely forested region east of the Dragonscale Mountains. The forest runs from the Writhen Wood in the north to the southeastern tip of Faydwer in a long strip. The Gap of Tielis allows travelers to pass into the Faybright Forest while the Steamfront Pass follows the southern bank of the Steamfront River up to the mountains of the same name.

Points of Interest

Brownie Village: The brownie village is a miniature village full of brownies (levels 6-10).   Caerthiel: The blight elf apostate city of Caerthiel is located in the southern part of the forest.   Caer'Dal Ranger Post: a raised platform in the trees serves as a base for rangers patrolling against incursion from the west or north. The rangers here will trade with any who have good faction. Those with indifferent or below will be attacked on sight to protect the secret post.   The Faerie Court: Centered at an ancient broadroot tree, the oldest and tallest in the Faydark, the Faeries of Faydwer hold court (Seelie during the day and Unseelie at night). Several treants roam this area and they are allied with the Faeries. The tree is a locus for druid teleportation despite not being an oak. An entrance to Faerie lies under the tree (dungeon for levels 50+). Inside the tree, a network of chambers and passageways exist full of fae creatures. The Great Fae Tree is a dungeon for levels 6-20.   Faevale: A group of Sylphs have formed a small settlement in the forest dell near the Great Fae Tree. This is the starting city for Sylphs. It has Druid, Ranger, and Swashbuckler trainers. Players without Faesight cannot see it and will just see a hill in the forest. They can walk on the hill, but cannot enter the city without Faesight.   Kaolin Island: Kaolin island is a small island opposite Caerthiel Harbor. In addition to shielding the harbor from storms, the island is home to a Kaolinite Mine on its far side.   Silent Isle: The Silent Isle is a small island next to Kaolin Island and Caerthiel. It is home to the Temple of Quellious, which is why the blight elf apostates chose to settle there. The Temple of Quellious is a wooden pagoda that emanates a mystical zone of silence dampening all noise on the island. Players will not be able to use chat functions while on the island.   Silkenwood: A section of the forest with a large concentration of Fayspiders.   Teir'Dal Corrupter Camp: The Teir'Dal have sent agents to strike against the Caer'Dal. These corrupters have a camp just south of the Dragonscale Mountains from which they send their goblin saboteurs forth to poison the forest near Caerthiel. Six Corrupters can be found here, along with Defiler Extaris, the leader of the movement.

NPCs

Defiler Extaris (10): Named Teir'Dal at the corrupter camp. Carries "Orders for Defiler Extaris".   Goblin Saboteur (1-2): Goblins in the employ of the Teir'Dal sent to poison the trees near Caerthiel. Found near the city.   Teir'Dal Corrupter (7-9): One of the Teir'Dal sending orcs against Caerthiel with the plan of blaming the Caer'Dal for the sickening of the forest.
