The living forest

This place has the strongest connection to the first world and there are many reports of people disappearing randomly in the denser parts of the forest. Some of these people return, sometimes much older, sometimes no time has passed for them. There are also many reports of trees moving around and keeping the forest safe as well as many more unexplained phenomena. It is from here gnomes originally came into E'ath and many of them still keep a close connection to the first world. The forest experiences waves of 'tourists' hoping to find fey creatures for personal gain before they are quickly reminded that these creatures are perhaps one of the most dangerous parts of the forest.   While the fey inhabitants almost never intent to harm anyone their concept of death is very different from the mortal concept since most of them simply revive back at in the first world some time later. As such they often kill mortals as part of a prank. Should they ever come to hold a grudge simply killing someone is often seen as too easy as fey hold grudges for lifetimes and sometimes centuries and are masters at inventing new ways to punish people who have spurred their ire.   However should one become friends with the fey of the living forest they are often given great gifts and invited to endless parties and revelry. There are even reports of mortal being turned into fey creatures themselves if they gain enough favor with the whoever is holding the parties they attend.
