Rise of Li'guth

Geological / environmental event

As Li'guth rose out of the ocean, it brought an astonishing amount of life energy with it. This energy resulted in the trees of many parts of the forest beginning to walk and come alive with intelligence.

As the trees around Li'guth began coming alive they grouped in an effort to protect themselves and their saplings from animals. This only exacerbated as fey began to arrive from their own world. The fey brought with them chaos and whimsy which the trees did not appreciate.   However, instead of fighting the fey, they simply travelled north and soon arrived at a remote place far away from where the fey were coming from. This part of the forest grew and soon became known and feared as the living forest where the trees themselves would fight you, should you overstep.   The Holy Order of Druids, took the living forest as a sign from the world trees that the forest was to be kept sacred and to this day they still guard over the forest, even though the trees themselves do not seem to agree with their role of messengers of the world trees that the druids forced upon them.
