Gösta Fiskandl
Gösta Fiskandl of clan Yaekong was the first modern Hel of Hellissandur.
In the 1100s, the Yaekong were one of the largest of the lowland Tvöngärd clans in the Iron Lands. The lowland clans were united by a trade coalition and a system of interconnected alliances, but the clans in the mountains around the Iron Peak remained cut off from the lowlands, culturally, politically, and geographically.
In the late 1100s, transcendental creatures called Onnävynd began attacking from the Iron Peak, slaughtering villages in the lowlands. Gösta became the leader of the lowland clans' fight against these creatures. She made contact with the mountain clans, who were also facing the beasts, and convinced them to join forces to push the creatures back up into the mountains.
After the fight was over, the state of Hellissandur was formed, under the condition that the mountain clans would retain full autonomy over their affairs.
