All-Hel

All-Hel is a title in Hellissandur used for the equivalent of a monarch, though the connotations are a little different from a Jiderani monarch. The concept originates from ancient Skäkti social structures, where the Hels of each clan of a region would appoint someone to settle disputes between clans, called the All-Hel. In modern times, this position has become hereditary and was given a great deal more authority. However, in 1349, All-Hel Bjorn Fiskandl made the position primarily ceremonial in the new constitution, granting most of the title's authority to a new prime minister of the Lörgsver.
