Bierglaan
The Bierglaan is a stateless society formed by the Biergs indigenous to the northern Svielzahn Mountains. During the Kaisan Revolution of 1333, a confederation of Bierg clans and towns declared their independence from Kaisa. Their numbers have been bolstered by several thousand revolutionaries that fled to the mountains after the Kaisadroupolis Commune was crushed.
A combination of the the Bierg's expertise with the terrain and training and equipment brought by the revolutionaries allowed Bierglaan to repel the initial attempt by Kaisa to crush the independence movement. Since then, Kaisa has left them alone, but this can only last so long.
