Battle of the Flanks

The Battle of the Flanks was a series of skirmishes and battles in the northern Jiderani front of the Last War that began the years of trench warfare that became representative of the conflict.

Following the Battle of Deculpa in western Umbrova and the Battle of the Minsele in northern Umbrova, both the Humanist League and Imperial Jiderani Union forces dug in and attempted to outmaneuver one another by encircling the edges of the opposing force's battle lines. This created a pattern where one side would maneuver, then the other would leapfrog around their line, until the lines of battle extended across Umbrova, from the Anydrachos Mountains to the Umbrovan-Campeni border.
