Galdore is the illigitimate son of Lucian Xiloscient. That makes him Laucian Xiloscient's half-brother. This knowledge was hid from both of them for a long time. Galdore was raised in a druid community that his uncle belonged to as a ranger. Galdore was instructed in the rites of passage of a druid. When his uncle lay dying, he gave Galdore a letter that explained the truth about Galdore's parentage. Soon after, he reconnected with Laucian on Laucian's divine quest. He happened to fall in love with Ulceaon Liadon which led to the affair that the two of them would have, causing some discord between the half-brothers. Galdore got over his feelings and was forgiven by Laucian; he would never fully forgive himself.
