The Blashpir Expanse (Blash-Peer)
Home to the majority of Linrea's territory, The Blashpir Expanse is the largest geographical biome on Serotonia. It's green-grass hills stretch furthest and farthest of any territory, providing ample space for settlements and plentiful room for agriculture.
The first settlers of Serotonia took advantage of the empty space and laid their foundations within it, using it's winding rivers to fuel workers and power waterwheels. More and more pupils arrived in the expanse, turning hamlets into villages and villages into towns-- culminating in the formation of the continent's first kingdom: Linrea. From then on, the loose collection of communities began to expand their influence throughout the surrounding area, cementing The Blashpir Expanse as the land of civilization and stability. About a 1/4 of Serotonia's humanoid population lives within the reaches of the expanse.

Geography
Much like the continent of Serotonia itself, The Blashpir Expanse is larger latitudinally than it is longitudinally; about twice as much. It stretches from the western shore to the far east, ending at Raven Falls as the terrain begins to merge into the Donlirr Sea.
The hills making up The Expanse are short, frequent, and wide. They provide plenty of space for settlement construction, with some settlements going as far as building on two separate hills and bridging the gap in-between. Rivers wind between the hills, beginning from the northern mountains and ending at the western falls. The water-retaining nature of the geography combined with the constant flow of river water creates a cool and fertile countryside, ensuring crop yields are consistent and plentiful. Additionally, occasional storms blowing through from the nearby oceans constantly soak the region in mineral-rich rainwater.

Fauna & Flora
With the arrival of civilization, the once wild and unpredictable Blashpir was quickly secured to ensure Linrea's development went unhindered by the natural world. It's previous inhabitants were pushed out of their habitats and into the surrounding wildlands, shortening their territories and forcing them to adapt to the new changes in their ecosystems-- leaving The Expanse to be populated only by humanoids and their livestock. Small creatures did manage to avoid the march of progress by hiding in the spaces left behind, but large creatures deemed to be a threat to the kingdom were either killed or pushed far north and south, barred from re-entering their natural environment by thick walls and sharp spears.
Natural Resources
While The Expanse may offer a limited variety of natural resources, the few that it provides are more-than-abundant. Substantial deposits of granite and limestone sit below the soil-- protected from erosion by the grasses above. Winds blow freely through the open hills, providing the perfect climate for growing grains and other simple crops. The hills of The Blashpir feed entire cities with it's farmland, making it a valuable resource to control on Serotonia.
