Blackstone
Blackstone is a hard, grim place, defined by harsh weather, harder labor, and stoic residents. The town takes its name from the distinctive, dark-colored stone found throughout the surrounding hills, rich in iron veins and speckled with pyrite.
- The mines here are deep and dangerous, and many laborers live hard lives in exchange for modest pay.
- Dwarves from the Iron Hills are frequent contractors, and their stonemasonry fortifies much of the town’s architecture.
Government
Overseen by a Free City-appointed magistrate and protected by a garrison of Greyhawk infantry and local militia

- Black Anvil Tavern: Popular with miners, known for its fire-blackened beams and strong drink.
- The Widow’s Cairn: A lonely monument outside town said to mark the grave of a slain adventurer’s lover. Locals claim it wards off something deeper in the stone.
