The party sought a time **Dragon** egg to find the cats of **Uthar**, which led them to a mansion where they killed a **Red Abishai**. The mansion's strange magic led them through shifting hallways, where they encountered a succubus and a **Tiefling** alchemist working on dragon-related potions. **Bastion** disappeared, and the party eventually met a **Rakshasa** named **Vashkar**, who revealed he had orchestrated the theft of the egg to protect it from the devil's revenge. He instructed the party to close a **Portal to Avernus** in the mansion's basement by destroying two red **Crystal** orbs. Battling Orthons, Spine Devils, and other demons and devils in the sweltering heat, the party discovered the orbs were immune to fire but vulnerable to ice. They fought against a constant influx of creatures, including a **Hezrou** and **White Abishai**, and managed to significantly damage one orb, but the battle continued with an **Orthon** escaping and the party still fighting to destroy the portal's power source.
Summary
The Wild Cards found themselves trapped in a basement containing a Portal to Avernus, the first layer of the Nine Hells, as waves of demons and devils poured through the crimson gateway. The air was thick with sulfur and the stench of burnt flesh as the party fought desperately to close the portal by destroying the red crystalline structures that sustained it. Bastion and Shadow had been focusing their attacks on these mystical orbs while the rest of the party held off the Infernal invasion. The battle intensified dramatically when a massive Goristro, a twenty-foot-tall Demon with skin like dried blood and horns thick as ancient tree trunks, burst through the portal. The behemoth's charge killed most of the smaller demons and devils that had just emerged, including Imps, Spine Devils, and bBarbed Devils, while knocking Sas W.T. Rayce back ten feet and causing debris to rain down from the damaged ceiling. The Goristro spoke in Abyssal, saying "Cathroco star" as it locked eyes with the party, clearly recognizing them as significant threats. Bastion unleashed a devastating Steel Wind Strike, targeting the Crystal orb and multiple enemies with his flourishing blade technique. His magical assault dealt massive damage to the protective Crystal shell, revealing that it contained an orb similar to those the party had previously collected. The attack also severely wounded a White Abishai and decapitated one of the hellish Abyssal Chicken creatures that had emerged from the portal. Meanwhile, Shadow cast a Wind Wall directly in front of the portal, creating a barrier of strong wind that prevented more creatures from coming through while killing the wounded Abishai with bludgeoning force. The party engaged the Goristro in brutal melee combat, with Barlo activating his rage and claws to deal devastating acid and slashing damage to the massive demon. Calliope, transformed into a giant ape through Polymorph magic, traded powerful blows with the creature while Sas used her Druidic spores and Primal Savagery to wear it down. The Goristro retaliated with bone-crushing fist attacks and kicks, dealing significant damage to multiple party members and even knocking Calliope Prone with its immense strength. As the battle raged, Bastion successfully destroyed the first red Crystal completely, exposing the orb within and causing the portal to partially close. The flames on one side of the gateway began to extinguish, though the remaining Crystal continued to pulse with dangerous energy. Shadow maintained her concentration on the Wind Wall while peppering the Goristro with arrows, landing a critical hit that dealt substantial damage to the massive demon. The final assault saw coordinated attacks from the entire party as they focused their remaining strength on both the Goristro and the second Crystal. Bastion moved to flank the demon and delivered the killing blow with his rapier, causing the massive creature to collapse. Calliope then stomped on the remaining Crystal as a giant ape, rolling a natural twenty and triggering Silver Flame healing that she shared with the wounded Barlo. Shadow followed up with her own critical hit using her bow, dealing devastating damage to the crystalline structure. Barlo delivered the final strikes to the Crystal with his claws, achieving a rare double critical hit that completely shattered the remaining protective shell. As the last pieces of red Crystal fell away, the pulsating energy stopped entirely, and the Portal to Avernus closed permanently. The party had successfully prevented whatever catastrophic event the crystals had been building toward, though they could only guess at what disaster they had averted. In the aftermath, the party collected valuable treasure from the battlefield, including two thousand Gold pieces, Platinum, diamonds, and magical items left behind by the defeated Fiends. Sas gathered the two intact orbs from the destroyed crystals, adding them to her growing collection of these mysterious artifacts. The Demons and Devils dissolved into ash and foul ichor as their material forms were destroyed, leaving only the corpses of the Abyssal chickens from which the party collected feathers as trophies. The Rakshasa who had made the deal with the party spoke to them telepathically, confirming that their agreement had been fulfilled and offering to transport them to their next destination. He warned them of an injured Orthon seeking revenge and other Devils who might become aware of their presence, suggesting they leave quickly. The party decided to travel to the Trap Street where the cats of Othog awaited the return of the time Dragon egg they had retrieved. A portal opened in the center of the room, and the party leaped through to emerge in the mystical Trap Street near Clara's office. Clara, the spokesperson for the cats, greeted them and confirmed they had successfully obtained the egg. Cats of various breeds emerged from hiding places throughout the street, though Shadow and Barlo noticed initial disdain from the felines, particularly toward the Tabaxi and Drow members of the party. The cats' expressions shifted to begrudging acceptance as they began leading the group away from Clara. The party followed the cats down an alleyway that gradually transformed into an otherworldly foggy realm where walls disappeared and thick, textured fog limited visibility to fifteen feet. The fog produced shifting, impossible-to-identify scents that changed based on each person's perception - catnip and bourbon for the Tabaxi, flowers and candies for Calliope. As they traveled deeper into this mystical domain, Calliope attempted to sense her companion Artie but could only catch a brief glimpse of his face in the swirling clouds before it vanished. The session ended with the cats leading them further into the unknown, their destination and purpose still shrouded in mystery.Scenes

The material on the Material Plane, such as ever on you, even traveled in time as you've been to to real during a very different time. |
| You now find yourselves in a basement, one that has a portal to the first layer of the Nine Hells of Venice. You have been engaged for the past few minutes. It might seem like weeks, but these moments have, only been a few moments, as you have been fighting waves of various demons and devils that have been finding their way through this portal, including hellish poetry. |
| You have found yourselves here due to a very long chain of events. In your current situation, you are haunted by Vecna, a powerful Lich God seeks to return using the orb and the book for which sass is holding to find a way to combat him. You first experienced explored an Ancient One temple to retrieve special herbs for a Potion that would protect your rest. |
| Then you sought out the cats of all thar ancient and mystical felines for whom a mysterious Wizard from another world, that being, Oh, shit. I don't know. Starts with an em. | So you suggested that one of the suggestions he'd given was these cats. You guys found these cat? Well, you guys spoke to their spokesperson, the mayor, on their mysterious trap street. She had told you that they needed the return of a special MacGuffin. The egg of a time Dragon who was being held by a red abishai. |
| The red abassi seemed to be part of a haunted and devilish residence where a Rakshasa you later on found out was using various devils to manipulate a nearby the nearby mortals. That Rakshasa claimed he wanted the part, wanted the party to take out the Abishai, and to get rid of the egg for his own purposes. He also made a deal with you that he would let you leave. |
| If you happen to close the Gate that's in his basement, telling you that this would also Work to your benefit. Since the Abishai is now being Reborn in the hells, and he will probably want to seek out revenge before he does anything else. And this would possibly stave him off a bit. To close the portal. | You were told you need to destroy one of these red gems that are keeping it open. So on either side, there was red gems. Shadow and bastion were attacking them separately, while the rest of the party was mostly handling a lot of the, the waves of various, creatures coming through. Because originally there was a couple, devils and a couple orphans that were protecting it. |

| Yeah. Orphans. One of the orphans, disappeared. And you're pretty sure he went out the door. So you don't know where he went? |
| Let's see. Here at Barlow, you ended up getting some extra health damage, or. I'm sorry. Health, permanent health bonus. And, as of this moment, we are on a, rudder. Kins. Turn and the middle of combat. |
| So, just to make things interesting, the next stage will happen. So currently in the air, it's thick, it's acrid. Everyone's nostrils are stinging. There's a stench of the sulfur. A maybe possibly burnt flesh. Rusted Iron. And the sensor are on the edge of the room. You see, the gateway to a furnace is still churning this perfect circle, rolling crimson energy pulsing, and unbearable Infernal heat. |
| You guys are still doing okay. As far as your constitution on that, I'm not going to make you guys have to save every single time. You guys were able to withstand the heat at this point, so you guys are okay. But you do see how these Tongues of pure flame are framing at the edge of this, portal, rotating around, as of this turn, you do start seeing a couple various little imps coming through. |
| See, like, 1 or 2 kind of come through. Then you see, what looks like, these imps no longer than grotesque toddlers shrieking like torture birds. They're Bat like wings buzzing frantically. They claw their way through. Behind them you see a couple spined devils that also start kind of finding their way through these black Obsidian spines bristling from their black backs. |
| You see, all of a sudden a barbed devil kind of comes through. You guys are starting to kind of in this moment, feeling like it's getting a little bit out of hand. |
| You see, a smaller chain devil come through as well. |
| Guys, this is getting a little out of hand. |
| It's, sprawling, harsh clangs of its Living clanking chains as it comes through, as they're fighting, as they start coming through, though, you start seeing like the demons fighting the devils. The devils are fighting the demons. Then some of them haven't even really paid attention to you guys yet. At that moment, you do see this a large, kind of, like, bird winged bird kind of flying in. |
| It's a very, disgusting, bird like demon has a drooling beak. All of a sudden, as a you see, in its, beaks is a kind of a shadow demon. And at that moment, you see it tear the head off of it. The triumphant screech, which kind of, prompts this, other Weird kind of like pig, like, demon to to kind of run in, these large tusk of Ivory daggers. |
| This is what they call enough now for shiny and, it barrels in, like, everything are just coming through. And then you guys hear, like, a tremor as, one more thing just runs through the the, portal. |
| This large creature, just. Hey, I know that guy. He was in spawn. A tremor unlike any other rattles the very ground beneath your feet. A deep, resonant form speaks of immense approaching power. The a chaotic brawl that's near this, portal is more is not just obscured in the hellscape beyond, but it's Seeming to kind of almost make the room a little bit darker in that moments, Thunder's ground shaking roar vibrates, and this is a gory throw. |
| It burst forth its behemoth behemoth of muscle and fury. Easily 20ft tall. You can see has runs in it's scraping at the ceiling of this, basement. Obviously, this basement was made for the portal, so it's not like a normal basement. But still. It's skin is the color of dried blood. Old bruises. It's stretched over its corded muscle. |
| You see these of these, thick veins pulsing with Infernal energy, these massive, curly horns, thick as, like, ancient tree trunks, on its head. You can just see that this thing is battle stained. As it does run in, I should say. So let's make this a little bit easier. See what's going on here. As I will put some of these to the back. |
| But you're saying there's a row of Rock and some spine. I'm all in one room. Kind of well done. You see them all running in, attacking? As that gory stroke comes through, though, you see, he pretty much kills most of those creatures that just came through. He also is going to Knock SAS over ten feet. |

| You. It's the layer. The pillar that was there is now knocked out. You see, like bits of the roof starting to kind of break apart. |

All right, so you're gonna take four points of damage as, a, a part of the plaster comes down and hits like a first, like you hit so your shell. |
| But then you see another piece kind of hits you on the arm that takes, gives you a little bit of damage. So you take four points of. Oh, Pierce. Then we bludgeoning damage with. So pretty much now that whole area now is just covered with various demons and, devils that are all not alive anymore. |
| Let me go ahead. Put this guy down so I don't get confused here. Actually, most of those chickens would probably also die from the, charge that were in the way. That whole area now is going to be pretty much considered, difficult terrain, for sure. You're also not sure as you kind of look around that mess there, which ones might be almost Dead or totally Dead? |
| Actually, this guy would probably die to use. Mostly Dead. Yeah. Mostly Dead. Just mostly Dead. Which can become very problematic if you're afraid you might get hit again. So just something to be aware of. That big old tangled mess there. The gory strokes. I moved a little too far away at that time. He snorts. At this point, he does start noticing you guys with a cloud of foul sulfur, steam billowing coming from its flared, fleshy nostrils. |
| It's immense barrel like chest heaves once, twice, and then you hear a voice like writhing tectonic plates and splintering granite and rumbles from its throat, guttural or roar that seems to be to consume the very air it looks at. You costar and says he is now out of the fray. With that said, the the only other reminder is, Barlow, you're at HP. |
| You can see where you are at that, Calliope, you are still a great a at this point. Also, just to remind you guys, Bastion and Shadow started to, instead of attacking both orbs, started putting all their focus on this orb over here, which was the one right next to you. This is the one you guys were now focused on. |
| That one looks like as you can look at it now, actually, since you're right there and this moment here, bastion, give me a perception check. |
| So in this moment here, what you do notice as the, Boris rose Rat, kind of did his charge into here at that moment, the shaking of the area kind of moved some of the red Crystal structure that you guys had been piercing. And then at this point, you notice that it's more of like a protective shell inside of that shell that looks like very similar to the orbs that you guys have been finding, such as the one that sass has contained. |
| It has holding. It looks very similar, like it's being, encased by this red Crystal structure. And that's when an orb. You guys are aware there's many. Well, you guys already have two different orbs like this. You guys have found the broken one of on, which was? That's the one you guys had fixed when you guys went to Ember on. |
| And that's when you guys got your marks. And you had helped the, Warforged find his way into your role. So with that bastion, it is now on you. Whoops. That it's my turn. Okay. There's a bunch of things in here. |

You feel like you probably stopped something really bad from happening. So then we can go ahead. |
| As you look around the room for a moment, you kind of notice the quiet. You can go ahead and get rid of the, turn order. We are out of initiative. I actually think this Crystal fragments are valuable in any way. Could we use them for something? Do you know what they are? Picking up? I mean, from the looks of it, it looks like these are the orbs that we've been looking for. |

I'm not even gonna have you roll for it, because as you're looking at and being the Wizard, you're able to kind of really see inside of the stone, very much like you've seen with, some of the other stuff, just mystical runes, just very like inside the of the crystalline structure. |
| And they looked very much like the Infernal runes that you guys have come across. There was some point where you guys came across Infernal runes before, so you kind of see that. Yeah. |

| Shadow and Barlow, I believe you guys have really high perception checks. Yes. You two are getting a little bit edgy. Like, a little bit of a Weird feeling, though. At this moment, you can almost see kind of like a disdain from the cats as they look at you two more than the others for some reason. |

But, you know, there's a little bit of like, animosity kind of feeling, but then you can also see very quickly it kind of shifts into a, a begrudgingly, I guess these are the ones that we need to Work with right now kind of, expression, if you can get that off of a little cat. |
| Oh, you can pretty good at looking annoying, They they have the look of disdain down, and you can tell it's a little bit more aimed at the two to back see him at the root. | As you kind of look to your left in the right, it's, very kind of foggy area here. You have, like, sight with about ten, 15ft around you. The fog, though, that's kind of been building up, you're noticing is very thick. And it almost has a bit of texture to it. A little shimmers of color that it kind of. |
| They kind of go through it, though, and it looks almost like it has more substance than, fog does. But as you kind of break through it, it just kind of dissipates away from you. And I think I'm just going to act now. Does it have that regular fog? It does not have, like that ozone type smell. |
| It's as you try to kind of focus on what does it smell like? There's a moment for especially for being at to backseat, you know, there's like a little bit of a catnip smell to it, but that sweetness kind of is. It's very quick, and then it's gone. Then you start picking up little traces of, like, is that licorice? |
| A little bit of, like, a bourbon smell. Like it just kind of seems to fluctuate between different types of smells. And so then it's almost like you can't really tell what you smell anymore. It's it's just something's going on with it. Am I picking up anything as often as they fawn? For you at first when you start trying to pick up the smells, it's actually you're smelling some of the flowers that you remember from the veil, various different flowery scents. |
| At first you're in, and then as your mind tries to kind of think about what kind of flower you think you smell, then the smell starts kind of switching off into other kinds of, flavors of, there's a lot of ways of like, cigar smoke for a second, but then it kind of goes into, these various candies almost. |
| And then, it's just the same thing. There's a moment where you're trying to catch what scent you think you smell, and then it's just too much that you can't really pick through it anymore. But the truth is, that's kind of. I wasn't sure how long the combat was going to take. So what we'll do is we'll kind of leave it there where the cats are kind of leading you to something. |
