    Humanity created
    Artistic creation

According to Yhivi and Ropog legend, in an era before record, the cruel god Everyone created meat that could make itself sad as a joke. This created Airn, the first human.   But Everyone did this in front of Ksherbsh(city) , the only tree, who was furious at Everyone's disregard for Airn's suffering. Ksherbsh responded by turning Everyone into The Kesh Forest . Knowing that suffering cannot undue suffering, Ksherbsh tried to aid the human, who was weeping in the forest. Unable to help, and subsequently unable to stand to be near Airn, Ksherbsh in turn cast them from the forest. Airn went north, into the Ishi Plateau and married the stones in the plateau. Both they and the stones became pregnant, and gave birth to seven tribes. Of them, the Ropog and Yhivi are the only ones that are know to survive to this day/

Elven Invasions / Ishi Migrations / Adellonian Massacre
    Population Migration / Travel

Starting around the year -2400 AC, elves from Ummuland, driven from their land by famine and excited by rumors of wealth in Adellon started to found small colonies in what would eventually become known as Ishi Plateau.

Using magic and total war tactics, both of which were practically unheard of on the continent, the elves quickly subdued the indigenous human populations, in effect genocide much of the human population north of The Kesh Forest. It is speculated that a third of humans were killed by war, plague, and starvation, a third were sold into slavery across Adellon and Ummuland, and the remaining third were almost exclusively Ropog and Yhivi, effectively erasing millennia of indigenous human culture.

    Yhivan Skepticism and Germ Theory
    Discovery, Scientific

Yhivan scholars in Tavt develop a spell to enlarge things, and on casting it discover germs when it works on more than the intended target. This ultimately inspires a new movement among Yhivan thinkers called Skepticism, the belief that the universe can be understood by hypothesizing that something about Creation is true, and then working via experimentation to prove that it isn't.

    Convulsion Day
    Disaster / Destruction

Convulsion Day is the name for the date when "reality twitched and convulsed" for several hours, causing the dead to rise from the graves and the city of Deja, along with hundreds of surrounding miles, to become devoid of life entirely. While it wasn't recognized until a few days later, it is surmised that Convulsion Day is also the day the moon broke.

    The Adellonian Mysterectomy Campaign
    Cultural event

The Adellonian Mysterectomy is the name for the relatively successful and frequently bloody struggle to end magic use in Adellon, once it was discovered that use of magic accelerates the Dejan blight. While there are undeniably many magic users in the world today, the transition from a society that used magic to accomplish practically all tasks to one where magic is effectively taboo, and fewer and fewer people are born with any apparent potentiality to learn magic, is arguably the greatest victory Adellonian people have achieved since the era's beginning.

    Yhivan Face Wars
    Military action

The Face Wars, also known as the Wars of Yhivan Unification, or The (first?) Gun Wars, were a series of conflicts in the Gisha Delta that ultimately saw the Yhivan city states united under the Salamandas dynasty, and also included the conquest of several Ropog settlements, notably Kairn and Illen.

The Salamandas dynasty, under exarch Amato Salamandas, began investing in brass dragons, a type of hand cannon, and was quickly able to incorporate them in their armies. The heavy armor that had become common in Adellonian warfare since the The Adellonian Mysterectomy Campaign   was practically worthless against firearms, and Yhivi Yon-Gisha quckly quickly conquered and consolidated power over the entire delta, establishing themselves one of the primary powers in the Post-Convulsive era.

    Political event

Canna Salamandas became Czarina of Yhivi at age 0 (but about 12), and has ruled until the present day.

Her rule has thus far been market by an effective centralization of power under the Czar, and movement away from market economies to centralized redistributive systems managed by the temple bureaucracy, and foreign military successes in The Kesh Forest and against  Ishi  in what are known as Second Gun Wars.

Second Gun Wars / Ishii-Yhivan Wars / War of Two Fools
    Military action

The Second Gun Wars / Ishii-Yhivan Wars / War of Two Fools were a series of skirmishes and occasional pitched battles between The Kingdom Of Ishi and The Yhivan Empire, fought for control over a portion of The Kesh Forest.

The Yhivi empire won handily thanks to their investment in new military technology, like brass dragons. It was the first time indigenous humans won a war against elfin settlers in the several thousand years of exchange between them.
