Second Gun Wars / Ishii-Yhivan Wars / War of Two Fools

The Second Gun Wars (211-212), as they are known by Yhivi people, were a short series of military conflicts, mainly fought by Yhivi and Ishi armies in The Kesh Forest. They ended in a decisive victory for Yhivi and the only known instance of indigenous Adellonian peoples winning a way against elfkind.   In Ishi, the conflict is known as the Ishii-Yhivan Wars. They are seen as an enormous embarrassment to Ishii and the horrifyingly predictable outcome of a century of the Sisters' Crisis civil war, and the subsequent environmental catastrophe and refugee crisis.   Dashi forces could be seen on either side of the conflict, depending on the battle, but never against each other - This was their failed attempt to resist imperial influence by getting the two empires to damage each other as much as possible throughout the conflict. While both Yhivan and Ishii people tend to view Ishii as the loser in the war, it was the forest that was occupied and the forest that suffered the most devestation, and the Dashi, by far, who experienced the most civilian death. For this reason, the Dashi have called the conflict the War of Two Fools. There is no consensus who the two fools are. The two empires? The Dashi offering to fight and the imperial troops accepting their help? Who?
