Sky Jellies

Anatomy
Morphologically, Sky jellies are extremely similar to their aquious counterparts, mostly consisting of a large umbrella-like body with streaming tendrils below. This is where the similarities end, sky jellies subsist almost completly on sunlight are rarely partake in predation or filter feeding. Sky jellies have vast size differences ranging from a few inches in diameter to 15 feet. The tendrils of sky jellies have been recorded to reach lengths of 30 feet long. The tendrils of sky jellies are also part of their defences, and while they contain stinging barbs, some also contain dangerous serraded hooks made of hardened cartilage. These often leave deep lacerations which are then invaded by the ooze from their bodies. It is suggested to admire their majesty from a safe distance.
