Oazallan Desert
Geography
The Oazallan Desert is a large swath of dessicated earth with massive peaques and dunes of grayish-yellow sand. During the day the land is scorched by the sun and at night, moonlight chills the bones. Locals often wear speacialized leg gear when trouncing throught the desert. This is because, beneath the flowing sands is the black ash. The black ash is a deposit of sediment under the sands of Oazalla that are extremely sharp making them a hazard for all those who tread the deserts. It is said that black ash is so viciously sharp, that simply allowing a handful to slip throught your fingers would leave your hand flayed. While this is often avoidable, sinkholes and pits exist under the sands which beg to end any weary traveler who stumbles into them. The Desert is also known for its massive sandstorms which can kick up massive amounts of Black Ash. These sandstorms have been known to swallow entire caravans whole and spit up the bloodied bones in far off places.
