Irrefutable Rules
The 12 Irrefutable Rules
The Irrefutable Rules are the first set of Rules for Dueling every being on K’lais learns. Anyone who visits K’lais is expected to know these rules and follow them.
Irrefutable Rule Number One: The weapon in hand is not the only weapon one may use during the Duel.
Irrefutable Rule Number Two: A Duel without reliable witness is not a Duel.
Irrefutable Rule Number Three: The presence of an overseer is required for a Duel.
Irrefutable Rule Number Four: Only those engaged in a Duel may call a yield.
Irrefutable Rule Number Five: A yield may be refused if such impedes justice.
Irrefutable Rule Number Six: Dishonor will result in death.
Irrefutable Rule Number Seven: The conclusion of a Duel is absolute.
Irrefutable Rule Number Eight: A Champion may fight for the Challenger or Challenged, but must be declared prior to the Duel.
Irrefutable Rule Number Nine: A record must be made of any Duel.
Irrefutable Rule Number Ten: The overseer has but one task: to insure all rules are followed and enforce them if required.
Irrefutable Rule Number Eleven: To willfully endanger the unborn of K’lais is to merit the final justice of its people.
Irrefutable Rule Number Twelve: Fight with honor or do not fight at all.
