Denetor Playnes
Reluctantly uniting his villa several miles north of Otway under the Xhosa, Denetor and new legitimized House Playnes marched on to take the city. Denetor despised Nacer Xhosa's methods and brutal tactics saw it merely a means to depose the city's current dictator. Retreating back to his villa after the conquest, Denetor slowly developed aspirations to become 'Primarch' of the city as it would win him the validation and respect that nomadic elves rarely received from their contemporaries. An emblem of this title and respect would be the acquisition of the Otway's personal sword, the moonblade Phraxas.
After deposing the current and shortly lived primarch, the sword was bequeathed to Denetor as his badge of office. This variable Sword of Damocles soon fell out of his hands ousted bloodlessly by a rival house. Soon offered the horn of unicorn Nacer slew as a wedding gift, Denetor taste for regalia grew unquenchable sending one of his retinue, Rolan, to retrieve the long lost starfall blade Durendal to replace his bequeathed moonblade.
Deposing the Primarch
This could not allay Denetor's ambitions, he sought the office now held by the dark horse Ar'stot. Upon retrieving Durendal, Denetor sent Rolan and his company to break out the cannibal Blind Jusice eager the recently uncovered Ariglass workshop could be appraised and rebuilt. This unchecked hubris led to numerous failed skirmishes against House Bradiment, destruction of the Old Bastille that housed the ozwok, and emancipation of slaves in the Lower Wylds. His house now in disarray, he sent an envoy to Sentynel to rebuild the fort against the oncoming scorch and as a Playnes stronghold. The slave rebellion ravaged the city and it is thought Denetor as a casualty of its rampant reprisals.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
