Archivist's Excerpt from: Alone in the Cold: The Story of Orphan Towne, its Strange History, & its Stranger Occupants, CVI 42.4
Engineers beneath the umbrella of the great Orphan Heights Corps. of Engineers or any of its subsidiary branches, once apprenticed, are able to move through the ranking system, earning both responsibilities and privileges along the way, from Initiate (no official rank), to Third Class to First. Details, requirements, duties, privileges, forms of address, nomenclature, equipment, and all other specifics vary according to the specific Corps. in which one happens to find one's self, which only makes sense. This also applies to the suffix of the title itself, as one might be a First Class Engineer, but one would not call a professional in the Corps. of Agromatics an Engineer, would one?
