Mizys Selde

Mizys was originally born as Kutoni Dhunni to Urzul and Gwysorin Dhunnis in 745 F. in Snowmelt, Glaiburg. Mizys' parents were a controversial couple, as the local townsfolk did not think that a Drow and an Orc should be romantically involved, given the two races' history. This reared to a head when Mizys was just six months old, when the local townsfolk attacked their house and murdered both of their parents. The townsfolk, however, did not know about Mizys being born. Instead of killing them, they took them to the local orphanage and renamed them Mizys Selde (the last name meaning orphan).   Mizys detested being raised in the orphanage, many children would bully them for being half orc and half elf, often remarking that Mizys' parents probably saw the monster they were and dumped them on the orphanages doorstep. The matrons of the orphanage did nothing to stop these comments, so Mizys often found themselves in large fights with the other children.   Because of the constant conflict, Mizys was frequently transferred to multiple orphanages in the hopes they would settle better there - however, this was not the case. When Mizys was around fifteen, they decided they had had enough and set an orphanage alight, fleeing as it burnt to the ground. They never knew, nor wished to know, if they had killed anyone because of that.   Mizys started to wander across the south of Glaiburg for jobs, however, not many people would hire them due to their race. They frequently found themselves on the streets and begging for money. Their health also started to deteriorate, chest problems becoming more frequent due to the dangers of their heritage - however, with no money to fix this, they could only allow the symptoms to get worse. This remained the way until they wandered into Winterwatch looking for a job. However, they found that their chest pains were growing too fast - they settled on the street corner in the freezing cold expecting to die right there and then. Until, Airo Yukimura found them.   Airo and Nardina Whitthane nursed Mizys back to help with the knowledge they had. They also worked out that Mizys had bradycardia, which Airo and Hiro Diederich managed to create a pacemaker that used magic to help correct their heartbeat. This saved their life and they provided them with a place to stay.   During Mizys' time in Winterwatch, they provided assistance to those who needed it and managed Airo's business for his prosthetic legs. In 769 F., they started hearing about incidents across Glaiburg of people disappearing and areas being wiped from people's minds. Mizys wished to investigate, so headed south to Goldenleaf to find out more. Whilst there, they met Grifiya Valfina, Aust Madden and Gaak Falcon who were also looking into an incident that had affected the town. The group aligned themselves with each other to look into it further, before heading back to Winterwatch for their base of their operations.   During their investiagtion together, Grifiya and Mizys entered a relationship with each other. The group worked together to help resolve the issues surrounding Winterwatch including Marxion's possession. Once Marxion was defeated, the group were sent back to Goldenleaf to lay low for a while, where Aust Madden was also possessed, however was saved by Grifiya.   The group then held a seance to see what this creature wanted by possessing these people. This conversation resulted in a lot of information being revealed to the group by this creature, including that Mizys had burned down an orphanage in the past. The creature was then revealed to be an archangel, known as Morality.   Unfortunately, Goldenleaf Orc Settlement was destroyed in the meantime and Mizys witnessed Hiro Diederich's murder at the hands of the Goldenleaf residents.   Mizys maintained that it wasn't Grifiya's fault that this happened and supported her and Airo Yukimura during the first few weeks of the mourning. However, when Grifiya revived Hiro, their grief eased off a bit. Despite this, Mizys still found herself troubled by the sights she had seen.   Once they settled in Swamphollow, they noticed signs that there was to be yet another possession by Azrael (going by the name Morality at the time).
