Crai'Gai Suppression Crystal

Overview

  The Crai’Gai Suppression Weapon is a rumored piece of Sibillian runi-tech designed specifically to counter superhuman warriors like the Asiendalian Nobles — whose strength, speed, and durability are fueled by their Crai’Gai.   Its purpose is not to kill, but to neutralize or diminish an enemy’s natural divine power, effectively “bringing them down to mortal level” so that conventional armies stand a chance.  

How It Works

  The weapon combines high ritual magic runes with crystalline resonance technology unique to Sibillia.  

Soul Frequency Mapping:

  Sibillians have discovered that Crai’Gai emits a faint energy signature — unique to each person — that can be tuned into. They call this the “soul frequency.”  

Resonance Disruption:

  Using massive mana-crystals, the weapon creates a counter-resonance field that scrambles these frequencies, causing a warrior’s Crai’Gai flow to collapse or become chaotic.  

Localized Field:

  The effect is not global — it works in a radius around the deployed device (from a few hundred meters to several kilometers for large siege engines). Inside the field, Asiendalian Nobles, no matter how strong would feel weaker, slower, as if their strength were being “dragged down, if they used Crai'Gai."  

Sustained Effect:

  The suppression lasts only as long as the weapon is powered — but Sibillians can keep it running for hours thanks to their arcane batteries.  

Limitations

  Immense Power Requirement: The larger the field, the more power it consumes. Entire Sibillian mage battalions are often required to keep a large field active.   High Vulnerability: The device itself is fragile — once detected, a single concentrated strike can destroy it.   Partial Effectiveness: Those with Divinity Rank S or higher (like Eremon Mordos) may resist or overpower the suppression field through sheer will and raw output of Crai’Gai.  

Why It Matters

  For the Anti-Asiendalian Coalition, this weapon is their best hope of leveling the playing field. It is why the Royal War Council considers it a top priority threat — a fully functional Crai’Gai suppression network could turn even the mightiest Asiendalian Noble vanguard into mere mortals in the middle of enemy territory.  

Countermeasures

  Archmagus Rikki Mordos and Professor Siori Mordos are developing counter-resonance wards to shield key generals like Sellina Mordos from its effects.   Sirrana Mordos has been ordered to hunt and sink any Sibillian fleet transporting these weapons.   Eremon Mordos has personally warned the War Council that if a suppression field is used on him, he will “burn the shitty continent until the field is dust.”
