Physical Description

Valros is lanky and dexterous standing at about 6’2” and weighing about 175 lbs.

Body Features

Valros has a tail and an old tattoo on his shoulder that identified him with his old guild.

Facial Features

Valros has striking hazel eyes and tan skin and has a slightly charming smile.

Identifying Characteristics

Valros has two horns that point upward, he also wears a headband (usually colored white) that has the symbol of Kelemvor on it. There are now two black marks on the back of his neck that resemble teeth marks.

After speaking with Ahriman, Valros has started throwing up snakes as a part of his curse.

He wears a cloak and headband over his adventurer’s clothes and armor, both of these can change color to blend in with any situation.

Special abilities

Quickstep: allows user as a cunning action to maneuver 60 feet in any direction. Only used twice per long rest.
Invisibility: Valros’ rogue skills have increased to the point where he can become invisible. Useable twice per long rest.
Eyes of Charming: Cast charm person 3 times per day.

Mentality

Personal history

Valros was born in a small village in the Norwich region. Since his mother had made a pact with a devil to gain power necessary to save her husband’s life, he was born a tiefling. Because of this, he was ridiculed greatly by many members of the village and his only friend growing up was a girl by the name of Seraphina.
 
Soon Valros gained the animosity of most of his family (mostly extended) after his step-father was seized by his Sire, who felt that his mother had not been faithful and must lose the thing she sold her soul for. The entire tragedy was put on Valros due to his infernal heritage. To add insult OT injury, Sera’s father, who was the mayor of their village, found out about their friendship and sent Sera off to a great priory to hone her healing skills.
 
Eventually he couldn’t handle all of the persecution and decided to run away at the age of 7. In order to start a new life for himself he cut off his horns and tail and pretended to be an elf. Valros quickly found himself in a great city and had to resort to stealing to survive.
 
His first attempt failed miserably. His target had ended up being an infamous crime lord and leader of the Not Fully Liable Assassins Guild (NFLAG). The guild leader was amused that someone would have had the guts to steal from a person as well known as himself, and thus Valros was inducted into the guild. At age 10 Valros began training to become an assassin.
 
After several years Valros became a very skilled member of the guild known for killing minor devils and demons, so that if his true heritage were to be discovered he would still have favor within the guild. He was chosen to investigate a recent shadowfell insurgence in his home region around Norwhich and to slay whatever was responsible.
 
While searching for the perpetrator he ran into the then unnamed Team Deicide and he worked together with them from then on. From here the events of the first campaign occurred, and it culminated in the slaying of King Stormbreaker. Since he had assisted in the defeat of the wanted tyrant, Valros received 40,000 platinum from the guild for his efforts, and he gave it all to his family, as he wanted his mother, who had gone through so much hardship, to never work again. A mansion for them began construction.
 
After several years of traveling alone he reunited with Sera, and eventually they married and would later move to the Chateau Valros received as a gift from the new rulers of Aryllia. During that time the two would travel into Hell in search of Valros’ lost stepfather with the secondary goal of slaying his Sire; however, they were unsuccessful. After settling down for awhile eventually the two headed over to Beatrice’s coronation and the second campaign began.

Education

Valros had only recieved two years of learning from his mother before he ran away. Most of his knowledge has came form personal experience by living in the woods or city streets.

Employment

Previously working under NFLAG, Valros eventually retired as his goal to collect a fortune for his family had been completed.
 
He now works closely with Blue Dawn as a favor to his friend Rian.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Valros became one of the more illustrious members of NFLAG, achieving the rank of Ventus.
Alongside Team Deicide, he helped bring down many gods and fell devils and demons.
He was made a lord of Alderdeen as thanks for stopping Stormbreaker as well as 40,000 platinum from NFLAG.
He used the God Ward to deal the killing blow to Ahriman.

Failures & Embarrassments

After buying a faulty sunblade from a spy acting as a shopkeeper, Valros would catch on fire as his defective weapon backfired on him as he attempted to kill King Stormbreaker before Adran could absorb his soul into his sword.
 
He was cursed by Ahriman after attempting to bargain with the serpent for information. It would be cured upon Ahriman’s defeat.

Mental Trauma

Years of slander have made Valros develop a fake persona to shield people from knowing of his infernal origins and he would actively lie to his fellow party members since he initially did not trust them with that info.
He has since opened up and learned to be more sincere after reuniting with Sera.

Intellectual Characteristics

An idea man Valros isn’t. While he knows a great deal about outdoor wildlife, how to survive there, and how to infiltrate and assassinate, he never got many teachings from his parents.

Morality & Philosophy

Valros on belives in the killing of evil people and fell creatures such as demons and devils. Because of this he would only take jobs that would deal with such while in NFLAG.
 
He is very laid back due to living alone for many years and having and independent lifestyle, and relies on impulse for many of his decisions.
