Yanla
(a.k.a. Mad Yanla)
Overview:
Yanla, often referred to as "Mad Yanla" in Krezko is a mysterious figure with deep roots in the Old Oblidan culture. Her moniker, "Mad Yanla," stems from her eccentricities and her self-professed ability to shape-shift into a raven, bear, and possibly other animals a claim now supported by experience, as she used these abilites both to help save Danyar Saronovik from a burning building in Krezko after the rest of his family was slain, and in guiding the group to the hunting lodge.
Background and Abilities: Yanla is a skin-changer and seer, with an intimate connection to the unseen world. Her abilities are feared and respected, particularly by those who are familiar with the old ways of the Oblidan people. She has been known to navigate the dangerous and frozen northern wilds, evading both natural predators and supernatural entities such as the Bogshade, a creature she claims to have outwitted during her travels.
Her knowledge of the land and its dangers, combined with her mystical abilities, has made her an invaluable ally, especially during the party's escape from Krezko. Despite her reputation, Yanla has shown a level of sanity and clarity that contradicts her "mad" persona, offering insightful advice and aid to those who earn her trust.
Current Activities: Yanla is currently journeying north, toward the House of Bones, a treacherous journey that she says may one day benefit The Circle. Nevertheless, she has promised to watch over the PCs from a distance as long as their goals align.
