The Circle of Sendiir

The Circle of Sendiir is a covert organization, with its origins tied to the foreign quarter of Sendiir in Rostova. Originally functioning as a secretive merchant guild, it evolved into a resistance network opposing the expanding might of the Kingdom of Chernaya. Members of the Circle are a diverse group, including disillusioned nobles, outcast mages and Karlu-Chatil, and all who yearn for independence from the Crown. They operate in the shadows, using espionage, sabotage, and clandestine alliances to weaken the Crown's influence, and in many cases being connected to whatever black market exists in a given region.
Sendiir itself was historically known for its ties to the Imari, with many of its residents trained in ancient ways that combine mysticism with subterfuge. The Circle's members, draw upon these traditions, blending them with modern tactics of resistance. In Session 9: The Lodge, Diverging Paths much of this was revealed to Tashi the Skald Indeed, his family is chief among the financiers of this organization. The foreign quarter of Rostova remains a crucial hub for the Circle's operations, although for how long?
The Circle's influence is not deep at this point, but it is wide, appearing to extend beyond Rostova, with cells scattered throughout Chernaya and even into the trade networks of the South. Despite their widespread presence, the Circle's operations are shrouded in secrecy, with many members unaware of the true leadership. This veil of anonymity has protected the Circle from infiltration and ensured its continued survival in a hostile environment.
