Kingdom of Hiland

The gods established the Kingdom of Hilana in 50 AMW and anointed Bartus of the humans as the first High King with their blessing to rule and reign over all Amora. Each race was free to live how they wanted in their own realm or sub-kingdom but they had to recognize the High King as their supreme ruler and swear fealty to him. The humans lay claim to the fertile plains and hills of the west coast and rebuilt many of their cities.   They had been the most numerous of the races and fought nobly and bravely in the Fifth Millennium War despite their military disadvantage. Only a few hundred of the millions of humans managed to survive the ruthless attacks of the Hylaks and orcs. They were blessed by the gods to fill the world and become a great race as long as they remained honorable and true.   Proxsola is only one of the many Hilian cities. The Hilians did not make much in the way of technological or military advancement during their early years. The Hilian kings thought they had nothing to worry about with the blessing of the gods upon them so they focussed their attention on promoting civil liberties and trade. When the Sixth Millennium War came around they were not as prepared as the other realms. The Hilians suffered many losses to the attacking goblins and Red Nation despite their alliance with the Sorra. After the goblins were defeated the Hilians reclaimed their cities and began developing weapons in earnest.   The Kingdom of Hilana has progressed far in technology and culture. Steady trade with the Sorra and Oogdrük have brought great prosperity to the humans and successful lines of strong kings have kept them safe and secure. The humans have become agricultural people. Their open fertile plains are perfect for raising crops and livestock. Port cities are crucial for swift trade with the Sorra and large armed caravans make the long trek across the desert to reach the Oogdrük trade posts. The cities have become diverse metropolitan highways and very industrious.
