Act 2: The Snugly Ducklings
As the Snugly Ducklings entered the gap, they encountered a large Red Slaad that tore into some guards and the party. They were ultimately able to take the creature out, but Gerber the Goblin was able to escape, eventually being taken up by a giant eagle.
The party was left with knowing about the Bastion, a large tower East of their position, and that the Stanky Cheese Fangs were somewhere in the Cosgraves. Along the way, they encountered a new friend, Keyleth, a Drow Paladin, to guide them in the lands she was most familiar with.
Upon entering Bastion, the party learned that Lee Aflawn was last seen headed toward the Aberrant Monument, and the party made haste toward the Cosgraves to find the Wand of Tiberius.
Receiving access to the area by communicating with the Orthomancers - with the caveat that they find a missing orthomancer named Pip (who was taken by grungs), they found their way to a goblin hideout, hoping that this would be the location of the Wand they ultimately sought after.
Invading this cave was no easy endeavor. Inside, Caisys Galanodel lost her life as she exited a narrow corridor and received multiple arrow wounds by goblins defending their lair. The party pressed hard into the cave and met a snow globe hero-trainer named Phil, as well as a tabaxi ranger named Clawdia.
Admist further strife and toil, the party continued to press on. Upon a brief and sour banter with Thuglip, Batman was slain in rage, but Thuglip was captured and the Wand of Tiberius was retrieved. The party learned of a man named Declan, who was also seeking this wand, and apparently hired Thuglip to retreive it. There is likely a person seeking after the Wand at this very moment.
Following their exit from the Stanky Cheese Fangs hideout, the party sought after Pip, the halfling Orthomancer. They were joined by Snugly Duckling, the goliath barbarian, who was with the Orthomancers himself, to aid in the journey.
After finding Pip and bringing him back to Bing's Orthomancer Camp, the party found themselves attacked by a group of sellswords run by a ruthless ranger, Groot Treething, the brother of Root. In a moment of despair and peril, the Chaos Orb began to prompt Wu to think of a person or place. He thought of Lee, and the party then vanished from the intense battle.
