Session 12: An Ugly Duckling

Started Session 3rd of Rainmoot.   Identified a few magical items in the hoard of the Fang's Lair and talked to Thuglip and the other goblin. The other goblin was named "Goblin Ramsey".    Thuglip informed them that Declan was seeking after the wand. He was scared of his left-hand man, an Earth Genasi who was coming to find him. The party let Thuglip free with the agreement that Thuglip would throw Declan's man off the trail in exchange for freedom. They also took some grungs as food, killed the gnoll, and released Jacques, who ran eagerly away from Root.   Moving forward, they ran into a Goliath and his companion Dave from the Orthomancers. Duckling, the Goliath, was eager to join adventure, and the Orthomancers were eager to get rid of him. So they sent Duck to join the party to find the halfling Pip and bring him back safely. That night, after eating grungs, Dave had a really bad case of throw up and diareha. He elected to stay at the camp and make his way back to Bing's Orthomancer Camp.    Moving toward the grung encampment, the party was spotted right away. They readily engaged battle, fighting gungs fiercely in a hard-won battle of attrition. Several grungs were downed, but the party made it through the palisade.   Chittittittittittitt, the grung leader, used a few plant growths around the place to slow them down, and 2 uses of spike growth to keep the intruders at bay. Once inside the palisade, after several grungs were dispatched, he finally spoke. "Let's talk." And the session ended there.   Session ended on the 5th of Rainmoot around 11:30.
