Aberrant Monument

In the Gap of Thalmoris there is a monument to an important decisive victory within the Chaos War in the Age of Mysterium. It was originally built as a museum, but as time has gone by, it has become re-inhabited by factions of Gnolls, Kobolds, and some aberrant creatures. Recently, Declan the Mad Mage has been trying to get into the Vault of Tiberius, located at the center of this monument. His team of mercenaries are currently carving a path through the vault against the various faction members. History  

The Battle of Planes

The Battle of Planes was a vicious battle in the Chaos War. The large plane was overrun by hundreds and thousands of rifts opened up to various planes throughout the multiverse (no one knew how or why, but it was all centered around the geographical region), where millions of aberrations and interplanar beings warred in the material plane against one another, each vying for the edge to begin conquering the Material Plane.   It was in this battle, which spanned nigh an entire month, that the legendary archmage Tiberius Stormwind, concocted a powerful anti-planar ritual which sealed all of the rifts that had opened in the area, with the use of the Legendary artifact, Riftbinder.   To commemorate the work of Tiberius, as well as honor the historic Battle of Planes, a monument was erected in the center of the battlefield, where Tiberius had conducted his ritual. A vault was set in place where the ritual was completed, and Riftbinder was sealed inside, some believing that the scepter holds all the rifts within it.   Around the Vault was set a museum with a myriad of exhibits, each commemorating the history of this large-scale battle. Shadowfell, Illithids, Slaad, Beholders, Modrons, Fey, Demons and Devils and more were all present in this Multi-planar skirmish. Each has some sort of exhibit sharing their part, with the Slaadi getting the most recognition, because they were the central enemy in the Chaos War.
