the Alanspace Nebula

The Sea of Creation is a bluish luminescent cloud of cosmic dust on the southern pole of the Crystal Sphere in Alanspace. It’s slow clockwise rotation often creates a whirlpool effect at its center. The massive Nura the size of planets drift with the tides of the nebula’s winds. These nura, have a volatile interaction with the nebula's gases. The gases ignite into flame along the surface of a nura when the two come into contact.

The nebula exists on both sides of the sphere wall, with an estimated nine hundred thousand of miles of nebula along the outside surface. This is only a fraction of the nebula, however, with the bulk of its mass within the sphere's space. It is through this nebula that one can exit and enter Alanspace. Little is known how this travel is conducted; there appears to be no opening in the shell itself. Any traveler brave enough to journey through the thick clouds and fiery orbs may find themselves emerging from the nebula in the Phlogiston outside Alan, or may simply not, with no understood pattern or reason.
