Plashin Wolf

Ghosts of the Mountains

Plashin wolves are a wolve subspecies native to the mountains of the Plashin Range. They are distinctive to other wolves of Novyum in that they are the only wolves with white fur north of the Cutting Mountains. They are known as the Ghosts of the Mountains by the native Plasha people, who respect the wolves, seeing them as the ancestors of all creatures of the mountains.

These preditors live in pacts of around a dozen animals. They hunt their domain, are territorial against other pacts, and largely avoid Human. The wolves have an unexplainable hatred of the Orc. They seem to track and kill orc for sport rather than food, often leaving the bodies untouched to rot after the kill. The orc of the Plash Orchold in turn hunt the wolves as food and for their fur which is used as decoration.

Their population has dwindled to near extinction in the southern regions of the mountain range, hunted by humans, orcs, and other monsters of the mountains. Their largest population is in the far north around Rypo Bay and the islands of the Rypo Archipelago. There they hunt Rypo Seal and thriving in the remote lands. The Yulfing people of the region see the wolves as mystical creatures to be allowed to roam free and be protected.
