Gillian

Gillian is a town on the rocky western coast of the Boran Peninsula on the major continent of Ethae. The town was originally built by Lakortha engineers during the reign of the United Kingdoms of Novyum, circa 6575sc. It was created as a port on Ubara's Arm to transport the Gold mined out of Whidel's Wall to the Heartlands. The cliff lined coast of the mountainous Boran Peninsula made it a poor location for any coastal city. The engineers built the city on the cliffsides, constructing docks down at the sea level. The peers and docks have long vanished from the site, but the town itself remains in the modern day under the native Rosses control.
Through much of its history Gillian was the focus of Rosses uprising. They saw the port that transported the gold they were forced to mine as the epicenter of their oppression. The cliffside peers and docks were burned several times over the years, only to be rebuilt quickly. As the United Kingdom's decline, a final rebellion took Gillian. The docks were destroyed but the rest of the port town was occupied. Now a century on from their liberation, the Rosses see Gillian as a symbol of their resilience and freedom.
