Lark Fairfield
Lark was born to semi noble halfling parents (Linric and Maesira Liadon) in Ironoak. However due to circumstance, from the age of eight they made a scraping of a living on the streets, using any and all the tricks they could to survive.

From that point on, Lark vowed the change their ways and the world, making it a safe place for those no matter what means are needed.
Lark stayed a while in Duxton to work with Miranda, Maudes cousin, at the Sword and Tome.Having a natural knack for deceit and persuasion, they took several of the other street urchins under their wing, keeping them safe, with their ultimate goal being to save up enough to get the youngsters boarding and a trade skill. To give them the chance in life they were robbed of.
That's when Annalise came in. When Lark was 13, they came across another changeling of the same age, the two surmising that due to similar circumstances they were at least somewhat connected. Along with her friend Belethor, a want to be cleric of the harth, the schemes and deviance only grew, with Lark amassing the funds to set the youngsters up for the next 3 years at a fairly decent establishment and in the employ and apprenticeship to various suiting businesses. They even helped a young Aasimar boy into the care of a clergy and away from a group that sought to sacrifice him.
Shortly before leaving the capital with Annalise and Belethor, to shake off some of the heat from previous escapades, Lark came across the body of a gentleman who looked shockingly similar to themselves, with a journal detailing this man's previous visit to the city 18 years ago. However things didn't go as planned, the travelling group was attacked.
Belethor dead, Annalise taken and Lark close to dead ... now all alone
