Unified Magicks

Within the complexities of the craft of magick, though much is secretive and unique, split amongst the eight specific schools, there does exist a common base of knowledge, one that is shared. Universal in its communicative ability within the structure of Arcanis, the manipulative and pictographic language that Magisters utilize, shaping the flows of manna they can briefly grip in the Aether into the appropriate symbols and shapes to communicate their desire to the primordial force with which they wish to treat for power. There do exist nine basic symbols, not quite the base or foundation of Arcanis, but universally recognized across all the Primordial forces and realms, shared linguistic heritage, that can be wielded by any magister of any order. These symbols, these spell-forms are generally a good learning base and instructive foundation as well, because they are, in structure, less complex in many facets than other comparable spell-forms within each order's unique techniques and magicks. As such it is within these shared and universal forms of magick that the training of a magister-to-be oft formally begins.

The Basics of Magick and Manna

Effect

Each school of magick has its own type of elemental profile, that is it does its own type of elemental damage, which is referenced in many spell descriptions below. When it references 'appropriate elemental damage' you simply refer to this table, knowing your Magisterium Order (so what manna you are manipulating) you can find what damage type your spells do.

Magisterium Order Manna Damage Type
Amethyst Order Lobhadh/Entropy Necrotic Damage
Diamond Order Meanma/Soul Radiant Damage
Emerald Order Dulra/Nature Poison Damage
Onyx Order Scath/Shadow Psychic Damage
Opal Order Aeir/Air Lightning Damage
Ruby Order Doitean/Fire Fire Damage
Sapphire Order Uisce/Water Cold Damage
Topaz Order Domhan/Earth Thunder Damage
Every magister has access to a learning a few basic building block weavings of various levels of power. These will manifest uniquely depending which flow of manna is being drawn from and manipulated, however functionally they will accomplish the same goal, and are some of the most basic principles of magick. These will be presented here, and this list of weavings are available to learn for all Magisters, of any order, without fear of persecution. They will be presented as follows;

Spell-Weave Name
Spell Rank (Pathfinder 2e so Cantrip as well as 1-9 of course): Represents what rank (old rules text would be 'level') the spell is, so when it's accessible to learn.
Casting Time: The time investment to weave the spell.
Target(s) (AOE size and shape will be listed here if that is how it targets): Who/what/how many you can hit with the spell.
Duration: How long the spell lasts. If it says Maintained it means you have to choose to keep it going, and without specific feats or abilities or magick items no magister can have more than one Maintained spell-form that they keep active at once. This is part of the end of any spell-caster's turn you have the 'check Maintained Spell-forms and cleanup' step.
Range: The range as applicable.
Basic Effects: The basic effects of the spell.
Heightened (+X): The heightened effects based upon how many ranks you need to increase it by (basically what levels it'll increase in potency if your willing to expend a slot) in regards to cantrips this is simply basic scaling since you cast cantrips as if you were your highest possible rank at all times.
