Crystal Lotus
Crystal Lotus is a charity organisation dedicated to supporting and rehabilitating those who have experienced catastrophic magical injury as a result of incidents such as magical accident, monster attack, or even Mana Theft. They operate predominantly within the continent of Eirinn, but are known to have supported similar charities in Duraloth and Karadal during major disasters, and are Headquartered in Sempervirentis.
Their services include therapies, medical support and financial aid, and they are most well known for supporting poorer communities with the procurement of prosthetics and treatment of Mana-related conditions. Some of their largest known donors include the Blue Wolf Mercenary Group, The Eirinnean Coast Brokerage, The Rosewood Tavern Group, Westport Shipyards, Violet Skies Magic Society, and the Schola Arcana. It is believed that Nobles may, on occasion, donate to the charity as a means of fulfilling their Noble Obligation where such requirements exist, such as within the West Eirinnean Aristocracy.
The current head of the charity is Florence Galen, a dedicated therapist and medic who began her career as a nurse within the Temple of the Many Gods in Sempervirentis.
Structure
Crystal Lotus maintains a headquarters in Sempervirentis, Curtana as well as smaller branches across most of Eirinn, though their presence in North , South, and South-East Eirinn is smaller and more discrete than other parts of the continent.
Florence Galen
Florence Galen is the current head of the charity, a Gnomish woman based out of the main branch in Sempervirentis. She took over from her predecessor five years previously and was the only candidate considered for the role.
Public Agenda
Crystal Lotus is dedicated to bettering the lives of those who have suffered trauma due to magical incident or procedure. Each case brought before them is assessed and treated by merit of severity, and the charity does not discriminate based on social status.
While charitable donations help to keep the organisation afloat, attempts to bribe or otherwise coerce action from the charity will be outright rejected and reported to authorities.
Crystal Lotus operates publicly available cashflow records in order to maintain transparency. Private or anonymous donations are always marked.
