The Rosewood Tavern Group

The Rosewood Tavern Group is a relatively new business group of fifteen years that seeks to provide a standardised level of service across its collection of taverns and inns. Franchisees of Rosewood Tavern Group are offered training, funding, materials and access to support in exchange for operating the taverns and inns to a set of specific guidelines, which dictate operational, moral, and ethical values held by the Group. As an example, all Taverns and Inns operating under the Rosewood Tavern Group must offer "Tap Water" (water that has not been flavoured or altered, including chilled, by addition of herbs, flavourings, or by magic) for free to anyone who asks for it. They must also donate their leftover food to charities, or offer some form of food distribution service for the poor and needy.

While the Chief Executive of Rosewood Tavern Group is known to be the charismatic Rock Gnome, Marcus Ariti, it is not known if Ariti is actually the owner of the group, as that information is kept classified by Decree of Noble Entitlement. Ariti himself is a member of a Noble Line within Curtana, so it is possible that he is the owner and his family wanted no association with it due to some of the progressive ethical and moral values displayed. However, many believe that the group is instead owned by another entity, and that they are using Ariti as a front. Ariti himself has never confirmed nor denied anything either way, but he is well-known for his excellence with business and logistics management, and so cares little for whatever rumours may float around about him.

The group began in 1473 in Muriedge with a single Tavern, the eponymous Rosewood Tavern, located in Tower Passage in Muriedge. In recent years, Rosewood Tavern Group has expanded its operations into Hartmoor, Iyvistian, Enholme, Duuintriya (NW Eirinn), and even southward into Fendaine (SW Eirinn). This seemingly rapid expansion has placed Rosewood Tavern Group as a potential superpower within the hospitality industry, and many owners of multiple taverns or inns see them as a genuine threat to their (often predatory or exploitative) operations.
