Amilya is a human from the Gatelands. She is fairly tall and has long brown hair. She wears a wide brimmed sun hat. Amilya is not very socially adjusted as she is often more interested in history and archaeology than people.

Professor Amilya Stonerose is the professor of arcane archaeology at the Stone Sapphire University. She is known for taking longs leaves of absence to go searching for new archaeological sites. She grew up in a rural area in the Gatelands where she gained an interest in history. She joined the Stone Sapphire University and eventually was made a professor. She has now worked there for nearly a hundred years, but retains her youth and health because of the magic there.

Recently Amilya wanted to research ruins in the Dustlands, so she went to find Coal Watch Tower, she asked local expert Johan van Stub to guide her, and Bridgemaster Ofen Murcher sent two soldiers with her, Galad Shrike and Gawyn Ryder. The others returned claiming that Amilya had perished in the ruins.
