Dust falls from the sky.
In the north and the south when the aurora lights up the sky the air shimmers with falling dust. This is no normal dust however, it is the remnants of the The Onslaught of The Chronophage when the ancient beast of time came to reclaim the Corpus Clock, which the gods of Venya had stolen. This dust is concentrated magic, the only magic left to the people of Venya.
Dust is the most valuable thing to the people of Venya, it is constantly traded for, and many people earn vast wealth by venturing into the dangerous Dustlands in the winter to gather it.
A world of diverse species, groups and people. The lands are dominated mostly by powerful individuals and city-states. There are few significant empires or kingdoms, instead there are many disparate states, tribes and societies.
The landscapes of the world are vast and mysterious, with many hidden depths.
